*About the Fashion Hothouse*
Operating as an incubation centre for Irish fashion designers, and a sample
production factory, the fashion hothouse is breathing new life into a long
dormant industry. Based in a new york style loft, within an 18C linen mill
in south Dublin City, The Fashion Hothouse ensures Irish designers now have
the choice to have their high quality and high value work produced in
Ireland.

It was created to offer designers a one stop shop for their design,
production, and marketing needs. Through local partnerships with leading
Dublin firms, the Fashion Hothouse provides consultancy services and offers
sample production and short-run production services to Irish Designers.

Supported by the CCOI and DCEB this facility is aiming to ensure that the
skills of Irish production masters can be passed on to the next generation
and not lost forever following the decimation of the Irish clothing
industry in the late 90s. Ex factory owners are passing on their knowledge
via training workshops, covering areas like pattern cutting, grading, and
production techniques.
