Dais A/W 2010 is a film by Irish stylist Sonya Lennon and Swiss Irish film-maker Christian Ammann. Born of an original concept by Sonya Lennon, the project showcases the international success of Irish fashion designers through the medium of film.
The film was designed to be a visual poem celebrating the marriage between the current strength of Irish fashion design and the intensity of Ireland’s landscape, the result is a union, which is as passionate, as it is harmonious.
Award winning film-maker Christian Ammann, builds a world, each scene a self-contained story of beauty, which effortlessly evolves into a complete and compelling visual feast.
The second part of the Dais Project, Dais II, will launch at the end of January in association with Wella and Moet & Chandon. The Dais Project is a trilgoy of films created by Irish stylist Sonya Lennon and Swiss/Irish film-maker Christian Ammann. The Dais films aim to build a chronicle of the best fashion designers of our time, both established and emerging. The first Dais film was selected for the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival, in Los Angeles where it was screened alongside films by Bruce Weber and Karl Lagerfeld. Speaking of Dais II, Sonya Lennon said; “The Dais Project is my response to a very exciting time for Irish designers. We are delighted to gather together our partners, supporters and designers to celebrate our vital and burgeoning fashion industry”.
