The new series of Craft Master is looking for individuals who have foundations skills in Basketry, Millinery, Knitting, Furniture or Jewellery, and who want to bring their craft to the next level using a mixture of traditional and contemporary skills acquired on a residential Master Class with a top maker in their discipline.
The Amateur Apprentices will compete for a stand at Showcase – Ireland’s Creative Expo run annually by the Crafts Council of Ireland, which generates over €20 million worth of sales orders over the 4 days of the event.

About the craft sector in Ireland:
Irish craft businesses are characteristically small in scale and are geographically widespread, but taken nationally the industry is a significant employer, while also providing viable, sustainable enterprises in all areas, including those isolated rural communities ignored as unsuitable by other manufacturing sectors.
