glamorous and elegant styles of the 1940s and 50s.  The re-emergence of this

trend is very obvious for the 2011 season with TV shows like “Madmen”

celebrating the style.

Designed and hand-made in Ireland, this collection not only places the skill of

crochet & knitting on the catwalk, it then combines the craft with luxurious

precious freshwater pearls, gold and silver – all delicately interwoven to create

timeless jewellery, hats, belts and purses.  This collection is accessible, with retail

prices starting at €45.00

The perfect accompaniment to that little black dress – an elegant necklace with

crochet stitches re-shaped and dressed with precious stones, a crochet bracelet

taking the same design onto a woman’s wrist.  Add to this the bow clutch bag  -

the result, the perfect, timeless and elegant fashionable style statement.

Designer Yvonne Beale has been creating and making for almost 40 years,

having been taught by her Mother, constantly knitting & dressmaking for family.

As a past student of the Grafton Academy of Dress Design, Yvonne now works

from the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin.

Inspired by more & more vintage crochet & knitting patterns from around the

world,  Yvonne has taken the motifs once used to trim tablecloths, handkerchiefs

or towels and turned them into truly elegant pieces of jewellery and accessories

for the women of today.  Designs from the first by Yvonne collection, Summer

2010, were short listed for the Irish National Crafts Awards, Ireland’s Fashion

Innovation Awards 2011 & awarded the Best New Product Award at Showcase

2011.
