“Lustrous Glass is a stained glass art studio in the middle of Dublin run by Shane Gallagher whose inspiration lies in everyday objects and the diverse beauty of nature. His vision for Lustrous Glass is to create unique and customized stained glass that will transform your living space and give ample rein to your imagination.Shane’s unique style is based on the curves, organic shapes and forms that we find in the world around us. His glass is chosen with great care so that it reflects light in all its beauty and diversity.Early in his career he worked with copper, enameling and jewelery-making which helped form his style and has given him understanding of the creative process.Shane has now moved full time into the design and manufacture of unique, customized stained glass panels. Through training in the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and working with skilled artisans he developed the techniques of design, glass selection, leading, painting and sandblasting.As well as large panels he also works on a small scale,making jewel-like light-boxes  and small painted and kiln-fired glass flowers and mushrooms as can be seen on his blog www.lustrousglass.blogspot.com.”
