Peroni Nastro Azzurro (PNA) has always enjoyed a very close relationship with Italian fashion and today, the leading premium Italian beer brand has launched The Peroni Moda Awards at the pop-up Peroni Boutique at No 6 Castle Market Street. Peroni Nastro Azzurro announce the competition to discover talented and aspiring designers in Ireland, alongside the announcement of the latest fashion partnership with Italian designer Marco de Vincenzo, who will be style ambassador with the brand for a new and exciting collaboration exclusive to Ireland.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro has always celebrated the achievements of Italian fashion through shared values of craftsmanship, attention to detail and authenticity. The exciting new collaboration with Marco de Vincenzo, the emerging fashion designer who has worked side-by-side with Silvia Venturini Fendi for the past 8 years, is yet another example of these partnerships.
As part of this collaboration, De Vincenzo has created an exclusive, limited-edition foulard that intertwines Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s unique style, natural flair and creativity while upholding the Italian way of bringing style to everyday items. The limited-edition blue ribbon foulard and Marco’s Spring/Summer 2012 (SS12) collection Olimpia will be available to view at the Peroni Boutique for a limited time* and available to purchase exclusively from The Design Centre in Powerscourt Town Centre from May 31st.
The Peroni Moda Awards seek to push the boundaries of excellence and style with the competition challenging designers to create a fashion look that celebrates the iconic Peroni Nastro Azzurro blue ribbon. The ten finalists will be chosen to create and see their entry on the catwalk in front of Ireland’s fashion influencers in Dublin in October 2012. The overall winner will enjoy an opportunity of a lifetime to work directly with Marco De Vincenzo in Milan as he prepares his Spring / Summer 2013 collection for his show in Milan Fashion Week. *The Peroni Boutique, located in Dublin’s Creative Quarter at No.6 Castle Market Street, is opening today and will house a gallery and looks from De Vincenzo’s SS12 collection while showcasing the iconic foulard that has been created by Marco De Vincenzo as part of the collaboration. The boutique is exclusively open for browsing from May 31st to June 6th.

About Marco De Vincenzo
Marco De Vincenzo was born in Messina in March 1978. When he was only eighteen he moved to Rome and, after graduating in Fashion and Costume at the European Institute of Design, joined the Office of Fendi style where for eight years is the inseparable attendant of Silvia Venturini Fendi for the line of accessories.
In the last years, in parallel, has developed its own line of clothing with which he has debuted in Paris in January 28, 2009. In July of the same year Marco won the first prize in the “Who’s on Next” competition organized by the director of Vogue Italy Franca Sozzani. His prêt-à-porter is in Milan Fashion Week calendar starting from September 2009.
