Sinead Doyle ‘Resurgence’

The dark side of nature is the inspiration behind Sinéad’s AW12/13 Collection ‘Resurgence’. An austere palette of black and grey dominates, but this brutal simplicity is subverted by a luxurious clash of textures, hidden structural detail and bright silk and printed linings.

This season brings a powerful minimalism to Sinéad’s work with structured leathers and body skimming knits, complimenting but never flaunting the female form.

The collection is a mix of ready to wear and limited edition pieces. Key items include the layered wool and chiffon ‘Anna’ jacket (pictured) and the corseted leather and wool ‘Mari’ dress (3rd Image) which mixes textures contrasting structure with softness. As always Sinéad’s signature tailoring can be found in her flattering high waist trousers and hidden corsetry.

The Resurgence collection will be available from various stockists from July/ August 2012 including American Honey in South Anne Street, Dublin 2, The Limerick Craft and Design Hub, Sarsfield Street, Limerick City and online at www.style-tonic.com

The inaugural Maker Faire was held in San Mateo, CA and just celebrated its sixth annual Bay Area event with some 100,000 people in attendance. As Maker Faire continues to grow in popularity and relevance, it expanded to Detroit and New York City in 2010. Maker Faire is supported by MAKE Magazine and O’Reilly Media, the premier information source for leading-edge computer technologies. The company’s books, conferences and web sites bring to light the knowledge of technology innovators.
