Craft Photo Shoot for Charity

Craft Photo Shoot for Charity

Trevor Hart photography will be doing another Craft Photo Shoot for Charity in the last few weeks of April and early May.

The aim is to raise enough money to send a group of students from Wesley College in Dublin to Romania next year as part of The Habitat for Humanity project.

We will inform all interested parties of the final project details but at this stage I wanted to let you know the details of what we are offering.

For a donation of €80 we will provide 2 images with up to 2 items per image in high res and 2 sizes of jpeg. The image can be of any craft and can be shot against white black or grey.

We can shoot more images if required and I will provide a custom price for each request based on the same pricing as above.

All money will go directly to the Habitat for Humanity fund.

It would be better if work could be delivered so that we can discuss requirements but items posted to us can also be taken provided the full fee and return post is paid and detailed notes for any particular requirements for the placing of items etc are included in the package.

I hope this will be of benefit to the CCoI makers and I hope that you can assist us in publicising the initiative to as many people as possible.

Creating a Craft Sensation at Bloom – Proposals for Installations Sought

Bloom_Logo

Bloom – Thursday 31st of May  to Monday 4th of June 2012
Following on last year’s success the Crafts Council of Ireland will have a dedicated outdoor craft area at Bloom 2012 – Ireland’s largest garden festival.  The area include retail space (selection for this is completed and all spaces are allocated), workshops, demonstrations and installations.

As part of our aim to encourage people to engage with and experience craft at the event, we are looking for craftspeople who are interested in developing a craft installation to act as a centre-piece in the craft area.  Proposals are sought from makers in any discipline to develop an interactive installation at the event.

Please note proposals should:

* be for projects suitable for outdoors
* ideally have a garden / nature theme or connection
* be colourful and attractive – creating a ‘wow’ piece at the heart of the craft area
* be interactive, enabling participation by people of all ages and abilities
* have detailed costings and an outline of requirements (i.e. Will there be a need for a workspace, shelter, electricity, water etc.)

The space available is approx 5m by 5m – although this can be adapted if necessary.

For more information and to register your interest please email Mary Dunne at marydunne@ccoi.ie or call 087 9916728 no later than Friday 27th April, 2012.

Completed proposals should then be submitted by e-mail to marydunne@ccoi.ie no later than Friday 4th May, 2012.
