If you are travelling through T2 in Dublin airport this Christmas check out the unique Irish jewellery exhibition featuring 16 of Ireland’s top jewellery designer-makers. The exhibition is open to visitors at Terminal 2 (T2) at Dublin Airport from Monday 14 November, showcasing the best of Irish jewellery design to the hundreds of thousands of holiday travellers passing through the busy hub between now and the new year.
The exhibition, featuring 16 of Ireland’s top jewellery designer-makers, will reflect the diversity of contemporary Irish design. The makers will hold jewellery making demonstrations giving passengers flying in and out of Ireland the opportunity to appreciate the fine craftsmanship of each individually designed piece. A selection of work from the exhibition will travel to Munich in Germany in February for a major international trade fair, Inhorghenta.
The jewellery designers featured at the T2 exhibition include well established jewellers such as Eily O’Connell (photo to right), Breda Haugh, Alan Ardiff, , Geraldine Murphy and Filip Vanas. The beautiful pieces, all “Imagined, Designed and Made in Ireland”, are available to purchase at the House of Ireland shop in T2 and can be seen on http://www.giveirishcraft.com/products/jewellery-makers.
