Arts and crafts activities that people undertake for self-improvement, social networking and leisure, but not primarily for payment. Groups that are self-organised.
Not for profit community groups where arts and crafts make up a significant proportion if not the total sum of the group’s activities.

Project 51, the Irish design collective that is home to some of Ireland’s best jewellery and fashion designers is putting a call out for submissions for their Christmas pop-up shop for the month of December.
We are looking for talented designer/makers/craftspeople who make high quality products, in Ireland. The work can be both commercial and conceptual, and can be anything from chocolates to cosmetics and ceramics to textiles.

Kenmarebookings.com are hosting an Indoor Christmas Market in the Heritage Town of Kenmare, Co Kerry

Christmas Fair at the National Print Museum
Call for Participants
The National Print Museum is currently seeking participants for its Christmas Fair, which will take place from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 December 2011.
Situated within Beggars Bush Barracks in the heart of Ballsbridge, the Museum will actively promote the event to a wide audience including neighbouring businesses and hotels, and the local community.
Stalls will be available for hire at €100 for the three days and will need to be manned from 11.00-16.00 each day.
Interested parties are invited to submit an expression of interest along with a product descriptor and price range to carlamarrinan@nationalprintmuseum.ie by close of business on Friday 4 November.

Punchestown Racecourse in conjunction with Ballymore Eustace Gaa are having a Christmas Fair and Family Fun Day on November 19th and 20th at Punchestown Racecourse.
There is grade 1 and grade 2 racing on both days and the fair itself is indoors in their trackside event center.
There is also a free Santa and free childrens entertainment
Stalls cost E40 for one day or E60 for 2 days.
Carrickmacross Co. Monaghan Chamber of Commerce are running a FREE Christmas Craft fair as part of their FREE Christmas Cracker weekend.

Sarah had read an interesting article in the Sunday papers about the endless possibilities of saving perfectly good furniture from skips, upcycling it by using some paint and a little imagination. Fiona didn’t take much persuading that this would make a fantastic and above all fun business venture, which taps in to our love of all things creative and craft!
As our name suggests, we stock all manner of fabulous treasure for the palace you call home. From sourcing and upcycling furniture, rediscovered vintage accessories, to soft furnishing and unique finds, all with a shabby-chic feel.
We also offer bespoke design services to our clients, which will enable you to re-imagine your furniture and pull a new look together without the bought-new price tag.
In the current economic times where replacing everything new is not an option, upcycling represents a great way of still allowing you to make changes to your home but with a clear conscience that you’re not adding to landfill or busting the bank balance.
